Please visit any CVRL location to fill out a library card application. You’ll need to show a current, valid ID with your name, photo and address, such as any Virginia state-issued identification.

If you don’t have a photo ID with your name and current address, please bring two pieces of current ID. One of these must include your name and address, and one must include your name and photo. Accepted forms of ID include:

Personal check
Current utility bill
Mail postmarked within 30 days
Voter registration card

Residents of the following counties are eligible for a library card:

Albermarle
Amelia
Appomattox
Buckingham
Charlotte
Cumberland
Fluvanna
Goochland
Lunenburg
Nelson
Nottoway
Powhattan
Prince Edward

Both Branches will have the basic tax forms available. We can also assist you in printing copies of special documents that you may need. If you need additional tax forms, you can download them from the IRS website.

If you want forms or instructions mailed to your home, go to the Forms and Publications by U.S. Mail page on the IRS.gov website. You can order up to five copies of instructions and up to 100 copies of any form.

Central Virginia Regional Library offers test proctoring at Buckingham and Farmville branches.

Students must make an appointment for proctoring with the Branch Manager. Scheduling for a proctored exam is on a first come, first served basis.

There is no fee for proctoring an exam but the individual student is responsible for any incidental costs associated with the examination, such as printing, postage, or faxing.

Before taking the exam, the student will be required to present a photo I.D.

Proctors will not monitor a student continuously during an examination, but will check on them periodically. The library does not guarantee that a quiet space or room will be provided.
