POSITION: Youth Services Specialist
The Central Virginia Regional Library is hiring a Youth Services Specialist to provide programming and outreach to children and teens for the library in Cumberland County.
This position is responsible for programming for children ages 0-12 and teens; this includes baby and preschool story times, book clubs, additional programming, and helping to promote programs and services. They are also responsible for working with schools and other organizations, nurturing the habit of reading, participating in community events, and other duties as assigned.
The successful candidate will have experience working with children and teens, above average interpersonal and communication skills, and relevant technological expertise.
The work schedule, about 20 hours per week, varies and may include some evenings and weekends. The successful candidate must pass a criminal background check. This position includes vacation and sick leave and pays $17.00 an hour.
