Summer Reading 2022: Oceans of Possibilities!

Posted by Megan Newcomb on

Join us for a craft or STEM activity to explore this year’s summer reading theme: Oceans of Possibilities.

June 8: Paper Ocean Art – Using paper and other art supplies, create ocean animals and scenery.

June 15: Slime in a Seashell – Who makes Slime in Seashells in the Summertime? You can!

June 22: Boat Building Challenge – Create a boat out of aluminum foil (consider buoyancy, which we’ll explore first) and see how many paper clips or rubber bands it will hold before sinking. (Uses a lesson from NOAA)

June 29: Under the Sea Salt Painting – We’ll use salt and glue to create cool 3-D art inspired by the ocean.
