Adulting 101 (Buckingham)
1140 Main Street
This program series is for teens ages 14-18 who want to learn skills to help them become more independent.
How can you budget to pay for things you need and few things you want? What should you do if you get a flat tire? Does eating on a budget always mean pizza and instant ramen?
These are a few of the topics we’ll cover in Adulting 101: a way for teens to learn how to take care of themselves and prepare for adulthood. Each week we’ll have snacks, talk about a new topic, and have some hands-on practice. Here’s the summer lineup:
June 7th – Finance and Budgeting
June 14th – Car Care
June 21st – Job Search and Interview Skills
June 28th – Cooking and Grocery Shopping
July 12th – Healthy Living: Taking Care of You
July 19th – Loose Ends (Question and Answer session, hands-on skill stations)
